Silicon Carbide

Silicon carbide is a very hard, sharp, and aggressive abrasive. It is harder than aluminum oxide. Silicon carbide is chemically more stable and, due to its high resistance, offers a much longer service life.

It is a suitable material for blasting applications prior to painting, coating, powder coating, and anodizing of iron and non-ferrous metals that require cleaning, deburring, coating removal, rust and scale removal, surface roughening, and reprocessing.
